This shirt is adorned with the names of The Orishas. The Orisha pantheon come from the indigenous spirituality of the Nigerian Yoruba ethic group. This design seeks to normalize the spiritual and philosophical contributions of West Africa and the Continent as a whole. If kinfolk can revere and study deities and folktales of other countries such as India's Budda or the "evil eye" whose origin is debatable, some say East Europe, others Greece, we say Egypt (Kemet), why not the ancient traditions of Africa, the cradle of civilization.
