This shirt honor the life, activism, and sisterhood of Marsha P Johnson and Sylvia Rivera who were both Trans, Gay, and AIDS Activist. They were the GrandMothers of the Gay Power movement and the Mothers of the Trans Rights Movement in the United States. They and fellow trans kinfolk were on the frontlines of the Stonewall Rebellion, many have cited that they started the Stonewall Rebellion by protesting the police. Together they founded Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR) the first social justice organization in the United States to provide housing and support to homeless Trans + Queer kinfolk and sex workers.
