June was declared Black Music Month by President Jimmy Carte on June 7, 1979. To me everyday should be a celebration of the invaluable evolutionary contributions Black artists have made to the world of music. This shirt is the beginning of the collection of t-shirts I will make of artists from the African Diaspora who have forever changed the landscape of music. Marvin Gaye was a truth teller, singer, and artist that captured the anti-war movement of the 1960's and 70's. He is an icon who used his voice to put out the powerful message that love conquers all.
